Software: some suggestions

I am glad to suggest to everybody to use linux. Lot has changed since ten years ago, when a normal computer user was an alien in the linux world! Today the progresses are so impressive that anyone can see that the quality is comparable to commercial operative system, maybe even better. Check out the video if you do not believe!

Vista vs Linux

For me a distribution is equivalent to the others: it is only matter of personal tastes. I tried a lot of them (Fedora, *Ubuntu, Suse, Debian, Slackware, Gentoo, ...) but at the end I always come back! :) I am curious about Sabayon linux, an Italian distribution based on gentoo: I have to try it when I have some free time! I use Mandriva with satisfaction since years Mandriva Linux: I feel very comfortable with its package manager, urpmi, and I can easily install and mantain up to date almost all the software I need!

My Desktop Environment choice is KDE and I am so used to it that I can hardly replace it, even if I like from time to time to try something else!
